Talk:Standard Packets
Latest comment: 17 November 2014 by Refractor in topic moving eponymous page contents into the category
Consider naming the packets by what the client calls them.
Packet categories need implementing, there are more than just %xt%s% packets (z, r, etc).
Categorization
The "requests" table from this page will soon be removed. I'd like for every category to have its own table like this one.. example.
moving eponymous page contents into the category
should we do this? would condense navigation and it is a bit redundant --refractor 14:11, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe we should remove it completely when the pages are created. Probably the best would be if the pages were generated grammatically (Lua). --Lisured (talk) 18:30, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, the pages like this that have categories named after them could be deleted. Generating it programmatically would be a bit hairy, but the possibility of Semantic MediaWiki could make it easy. --Refractor (talk) 21:49, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- SMW is another option, I will have to investigate it for project adamant. --Lisured (talk) 23:00, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well, I may have overstated SMW. Parsing with even regex shouldn't be too bad. --Refractor (talk) 23:28, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- This looks interesting too Extension:DynamicPageList (third-party), or even more Extension:DynamicPageListEngine --Lisured (talk) 02:12, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Neat. I'm somewhat familiar with DPL, but never knew it could do this. --Refractor (talk) 11:14, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
